The Challenge

The Port of Brisbane has the highest volume of truck movements of any port in Australia, and almost all of them run on diesel. Lion Energy, supported by DGA (a Mitsubishi subsidiary) and Samsung C&T, set out to build a 2 MW hydrogen production and dispensing facility on the port to start changing that.

Our Response

Amarna has been engaged since the initial concept design stage. We act as Lion's owner's engineer and project manager, supporting engineering, procurement, approvals, contractor engagement and stakeholder management across the whole project.

The Impact

A first-of-kind hydrogen refuelling hub positioned to decarbonise heavy transport at one of the country's largest freight gateways.
